SWIM TIPS
Tip #1
Do your kids get earaches on and off through out the swimming season? Usually followed by a visit to the doctor for antibiotics, etc..
Here is a little tip that has worked for me for 50+ years. Mix equal parts of white vinegar and alcohol, that’s a 50-50 mix and store it in a small water tight container. When the kids come home from the pool put a couple of drops in each ear followed by a little cotton to keep the mixture from running out. Leave it for about 15 to 30 minutes, then remove the cotton. The alcohol absorbs water and vinegar creates an acid atmosphere that prevents infection from getting started. This won’t work if the infection is already started.
Tip #2
Are you doing the laundry and wondering where all the towels are? Ask at the pool to see their collection of towels.
If you have a tip for swimmers let Janice Mixon at 730-1781 know about it and we will post it here.
